When we grow up there are underwritten rules of how we can portray the little kid buried inside of us. Whether you chose to protect your smart phone in a hot pink bunny cover, use a Hello Kitty soap dispenser, rock bright blue glitter sneakers, or wear a button up with smiling mushrooms and rabbits on it. They are all socially acceptable, 2013 this is one thing I love about you.
This button up by Equipment is quite nostalgic for me. It takes me back to my childhood when all I wanted to do was eat pepperoni sandwiches and watch Alice in Wonderland 25 times a day. I know it’s not exactly a match to the movie characters, but it’s pretty trippy in my eyes. What’s not to love about this button up? Seriously though, it’s got the professional fitted button up style, matte silk appearance, just having a little fun with the print. Party in the print, business in the fit.
I also want to add that I got this button up at one of my favorite boutiques in LA, milk. You can count on milk to have all your favorite designers, but more unique pieces that you may not find at Barney’s or Nordstrom’s. The buyers at milk cater to a more eclectic audience. Most of the time I don’t see many of the styles anywhere else that I find at milk. I linked my top to the Equipment site above, because this style is not on milk’s site, but you can check out all the goodies at milk, here.

That blouse is super cute.
